Our Newsletter library contains a documented record of our travels written in a tongue-in-cheek manner (we try not take ourselves too seriously !!). The Newsletters are listed contemporaneously to create a story. In 2007 we travelled up through the centre of Australia into the Northern Territory. Then west across the top into Western Australia and down the west coast before heading back to Victoria. (2007 Newsletters) In 2008 we spent the first part of the year in a tent in Tasmania. After collecting our new caravan we headed up the east coast of all the way to Cairns where we spent some timebefore heading south again through the centre of Queensland and New South Wales. (2008 Newsletters) In 2009 we had an early trip on the east coast up a far as Ulludulla for a Pelagic. After a short stay back in Victoria we headed north again through the western part of New South Wales and Queensland before veering east again an headed up into Cape York. After that we spent some more time in Cairns before heading back to Victoria. (2009 Newsletters) In 2010 we had our first venture into international birding with a trip to Singapore and India. After returning to Australia we headed north again, this time up through the centre and spent some time in Darwin before heading across into the Kimberley. We spent about six weeks along the Gibb River Road area before reaching Broome. Then a bird tour to Ashmore Reef was a great highlight before heading back to victoria via the Tanami Road to Alice Springs and then Stuart Highway. (2010 Newsletters) In 2011 we headed of without a plan and ended up with a reverse trip of 2007 ie into South Australia, then across the Eyre Highway into Western Australia and up the western part of WA with a lot of zigging and zagging. Some time was spent in Broome before heading east again acroos the top to Kakadu. Then a race back through the centre for a twitch!!! before heading home. The year ended with another mad twitch to Broome for the Euransian Hoopie and a relaxing 10 days at Lord Howe Island. (2011 Newsletters) In 2012 we headed south to Tasmania for a coupe of months. Once the first Flame Robin was sighted on our block at Maldon it was time to head north to warmer climes... via AWC's Bowra Sanctury, Sturt National Park, Boodjamulla NP and Atherton. From there we headed up into Cap York and visited Iron Range and Mungan Kanju NP's. We took R&R in Cairns before heading back to Victoria. (2012 Newsletters) In 2013 we spent January birding locally and then in early February flew to Christmas Island for 10 days and then onto Cocos Island for a further week. (2013 Newsletters)
